About the Ahmanson Intern Award:

The Ahmanson Intern Award, inaugurated in 2001, is named in honor of Roberta Ahmanson for her generous endowment of the Youth Institute program, her dedication to educating Iowa youth, and her support for her home state of Iowa.

This honor will be bestowed annually on a Borlaug-Ruan International Intern whose fulfillment of his or her research program at a renowned research center abroad best exemplifies Mrs. Ahmanson's commitment to increasing awareness of world food security problems.
