2006 Borlaug-Ruan Interns
|
In the summer of 2006, these interns traveled to Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Mexico, Peru, Philippines and Taiwan to study global food security at acclaimed agricultural research centers.
On their return, each student completed a paper documenting their personal experiences and the outcomes of their research projects.
These students are all candidates under current consideration for the 2007 John Chrystal Award and Ahmanson Intern Award for internship excellence last summer. Two awardees will be selected from this group and honored at the 2007 World Food Prize Laureate Ceremony on October 18 for the outstanding manner in which they completed their international internships and reports.
