2006 Laureate Announcement Ceremony

The 2006 World Food Prize Laureate will be announced June 15, 2006 at the State Department in Washington, D.C. The announcement ceremony will be hosted by Josette Shiner, Under Secretary of State for Economic, Business and Agricultural Affairs, and will be held in the Benjamin Franklin Room.

This marks the third consecutive year the announcement has been held at the State Department. The ceremony was hosted by former Secretary of State Colin Powell in 2004, and Secretary of Agriculutre Ann Veneman in 2005.
