Description: The Bethesda Community Food Pantry (serving the Story County area since 1983) demonstrates Jesus’ love for others by providing supplemental food to all who ask. The Food Pantry is open to guests with only a photo ID required to register. We are a proud partner of the Iowa Food Bank. SCHEDULE Tuesday: 1-3:00 pm, and 6:30-8 pm Wednesday: 10-11:30 am Thursday: 1-3:00 pm How to Help: Over 80 volunteers are involved in the operation of the food pantry including food distribution, restocking shelves, and serving on the food pantry board. Bethesda and other community members often take the outreach of the pantry into their community organizations and places of work, and the result is donations of food, time, and money. Several other Ames churches regularly support the pantry. The Bethesda Community Food Pantry is also a recipient of the US Postal Service food drive, United Way Food, and other local food drives.
