Public Tours

Join us for our Holiday Open Houses, Saturday, Dec. 13 and 20, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.! 

Experience the majestic sound of the Grace Church Ensemble singing holiday music in this downtown architectural gem. The music resonating in the rotunda sounds like a cathedral! Guests can also view the beautiful holiday decor, enjoy hot apple cider and cookies, and explore the World Food Prize's collections of artwork and exhibits. Free and open to the public.

Visitors can also visit the National Geographic "Future of Food" exhibit as well as the "40 Chances: Finding Hope in a Hungry World" international photography exhibit by Howard G. Buffett. In addition, visitors of all ages will enjoy the interactive exhibits on food and agriculture in the garden level. 

There is no admission charge and it is a wonderful opportunity to experience this beautiful, historic downtown building during this special time of year. Downtown on the Riverwalk. 

THE WORLD FOOD PRIZE HALL OF LAUREATES is open to the public for tours, free of charge. Tours on Tuesdays are given at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12-noon and 1:30 p.m.  Please arrive 10-15 minutes early. The tours on Saturdays and Sundays are self-guided and visitors are welcome to explore the building and visit with volunteer docents.

                             

HOURS:

PLEASE NOTE the Hall of Laureates will be closed on the following dates during this holiday season: November 25, 29, 30, December 23, 27, 28 and 30, January 3, and 4

Tuesdays: 9 a.m.  - 3 p.m. for only guided tours at 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12-Noon and 1:30 p.m. 
Saturdays: 9 a.m.  - 1 p.m. for self-guided tours 
Sundays: 12/Noon - 3 p.m. for self-guided tours 

In addition private and group tours may be scheduled 10 business days in advance for the following times: 

Wednesdays: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. for tours that are booked through the WFP office 10 business days in advance
Thursdays: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. for tours that are booked through the WFP office 10 business days in advance

‚ÄčPlease note that on the following days in 2014 and 2015 we are closed for special private events: March 8, April 19, May 10 and 13, July 3, 4, 5 and 6, August 26, 30 and 31, September 7, 20 and 21, October 14, 18 and 19, November 25, 29, 30, December 23, 27, 28 and 30, January 3, and 4. 

PARKING

As there is no on-site parking available, guests are asked to park at the meters located around the building or in the surrounding parking ramps. 

HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY

The Hall of  Laureates building is fully handicap accessible. The handicap entrance is on the west/garden side of the building, at the ground level. Every floor of the building is accessible by elevator, and there are not currently wheelchairs available to borrow.

Special Closures:
The Hall will be closed during all federal holiday weekends, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas.
