World Food Prize Foundation Announces New Program Coordinator, Global Youth Programs and Partnerships

The World Food Prize Foundation announced today that Abigail Turner has joined the Foundation as the new Program Coordinator, Global Youth Programs and Partnerships. 

“Abigail’s background in agriculture education, and with our youth programs, as well as her international studies and interests make her a great addition to our team, helping to support the hundreds of  future hunger fighters in our youth programs,” said Barbara Stinson, President, World Food Prize Foundation. 

In this position, Ms. Turner will be responsible for facilitating educational outreach and training efforts, helping administer teacher training initiatives and providing support on program planning, design and delivery. She will also be responsible for assisting the Director of Youth Leadership Development in the implementation and creation of the annual World Food Prize Global Youth Institute, which brings together over 200 students and a like amount of teachers from around the globe each year.

Prior to joining the World Food Prize, Abigail worked as a Digital Marketing Strategist for Amaryllis Boutique, where she focused on creating visual content and managed the company’s website. She was also a Constituent Relations Intern in Washington, D.C., and Missouri FFA State Vice President. Additionally, Abigail has a passion for traveling and has studied abroad in France, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand. She was also a member of the Global Teach Ag Program which works in conjunction with the World Food Prize Foundation Global Guides Program and an International Agriculture Education Fellow in Uganda.

Abigail graduated from the University of Missouri in 2021 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Education and Leadership with minors in International Agriculture and Agriculture Education.
