August 27, 2008 - In a free public forum held Wednesday, October 15 at the State Historical Building in Des Moines, political icons and 2008 World Food Prize Laureates Bob Dole and George McGovern will reflect on their decades-long efforts to fight hunger at home and abroad.
The collaborative leadership of Senators Dole and McGovern has encouraged a global commitment to school feeding and has enhanced school attendance and nutrition for millions of the world’s poorest children, especially girls. Senators Dole and McGovern will be joined at the forum by officials of the UN World Food Program. Audience members will have the opportunity to join in the conversation.
This is a FREE event and no registration is required.
