February 2, 2009 - World Food Prize Foundation finalist for Aurora Award
February 2, 2009 - - The World Food Prize Foundation is one of five finalists for the Aurora Award, the Des Moines Register has announced.
The Des Moines Register gives the annual award to central Iowa organizations that make "a measurable difference in the community without thought to awards or public recognition," according to the Register.
The winner of the Aurora Award will be announced on February 11, which coincides with World Food Prize Chairman Emeritus John Ruan's 95th birthday.
The World Food Prize Foundation was nominated for the Aurora Award by former Iowa Governor Robert D. Ray. For more on the Aurora Award and the other finalists, click HERE.
