April 27, 2010 - USAID Administrator references 2009 Laureate Ejeta in testimony before Senate Foreign Relations Committee
April 27, 2010 - - The Honorable Rajiv Shah, USAID Administrator, testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations hearing on "Promoting Global Food Security: Next Steps for Congress and the Administration" on April 22.
In this testimony, Dr. Shah referenced 2009 World Food Prize Laureate Gebisa Ejeta, who spoke on Dr. Shah's behalf at the recent Global Conference on Agricultural Research for Development in Montpellier, France.
2003 World Food Prize Laureate Catherine Bertini also submitted a joint testimony with former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman. Bertini and Glickman serve as co-chairs for the Chicago Council on Global Affairs' Global Agricultural Development Initiative.
