UPDATE: 2011 AAAS Riley Lecture registration now open

The World Food Prize Foundation is again partnering with the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Riley Memorial Foundation to host the 2011 Riley Lecture in Washington, DC.

The World Food Prize is pleased to join the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Riley Memorial Foundation in announcing that the 2011 AAAS Charles Valentine Riley Memorial Lecture will take place at 4:00 p.m. on June 21, 2011, in Washington, DC.

Registration is now available and open to the public.

The 2011 Riley Lecture will be delivered by renowned plant geneticist Dr. Pamela Ronald of the University of California at Davis. Following the lecture will a discussion featuring Dr. Michael T. Clegg of the University of California, Irvine and the U.S. National Academy of Sciences; Dr. L. Val Giddings of the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation; John D. Hardin, Jr., of Hardin Farms; and Dr. Mark Rosegrant of the International Food Policy Research Institute. The discussion will be led by AAAS President Dr. Nina Fedoroff.

The event will again be held at AAAS headquarters, and is sponsored by AAAS and the Riley Memorial Foundation, with the World Food Prize Foundation as a principal collaborator.
