The 2003 World Food Prize was awarded to Catherine Bertini in a cermony at the magnificent Iowa State Capitol Building in Des Moines.

Secretary of Agriculture Ann Veneman delivered a message from President George W. Bush at the Ceremony, which was attended by dignitaries from around the World.
