The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in Bogor, Indonesia hosted an intern in 2000.
Established in 1993, CIFOR is a global facility dedicated to advancing human well-being as well as environmental conservation and equity.
CIFOR carries out research and development in agriculture, infrastructure development, trade and investment policies, and law enforcement.
Headquartered in Bogor, Indonesia, CIFOR has regional offices in Brazil, Cameroon, and Zimbabwe, and research centers in thirty other countries.

The intern at CIFOR worked alongside renowned international researchers and experts - like Herry Purnomo - in CIFOR's research labs in Bogor.
The student also had the opportunity to travel around Indonesia with their host families and colleagues to see the Prambanan Hindu Temple, the traditional architecture of Wringin Lawang, the Yogyakarta markets, Ciaruten stone inscription, tea plantations, and the Bogor presidential palace.
