General Media Information
Key information for media covering the 2012 World Food Prize events, Oct. 16-20.
Registration
Members of the media can register by following the instructions posted here. Registration is free, but members of the media must pay for meals if they intend to eat at the events.
On Site
A press room will be located on the first floor of the Des Moines Marriott Downtown. The room will be open to the media for use throughout the symposium and includes work space and wireless internet for reporters; organizations may also hold press availability events or press conferences there as well, and a press room schedule will be distributed to all media, and posted daily.
Work tables for the press will also be available in the main ballroom where the symposium is held. Wireless internet will be available on the first three levels of the hotel.
News Releases
The World Food Prize will post its key news releases online, but those of other organizations will be made available primarily in the press room.
