Adding The World Food Prize as a Safe Sender

Why Is This Important?

If you use email as a regular form of communication you've likely received unwanted commercial solicitations in your inbox, commonly known as "SPAM."

As a result, many email programs (Microsoft Outlook, etc.) and providers (AOL, YAHOO!, etc.) are now equipped with filtering software programs, often called SPAM blockers. These software programs prevent unwanted emails from reaching your inbox. Instead, messages the program determines to be SPAM are stored in a special junk email folder, separate from emails that the software has deemed as legitimate.

But even the best filtering programs aren't 100% accurate, and occasionally legitimate messages are placed into the junk email folder (and vice-versa). However, most filtering programs allow users to select certain email addresses or domains (@exampleofdomain.com) to bypass the filtering software and always arrive in your email inbox. These email addresses or domains are generally added to a "friends," "contacts," or "safe senders list."

To ensure messages from employees at The World Food Prize reach your inbox, we encourage you to add our employees' email addresses or the worldfoodprize.org domain to your safe senders list. Although we cannot guarantee that this method will always allow messages sent from employees at the World Food Prize Foundation to bypass your filtering software, it does greatly increase the likelihood that you will receive our messages.
